Saksham :

The basic idea behind the development of the proposed robot is to develop an autonomous system that first detects the voice instructions and moves towards the direction of instructor and then authenticates the instructor after recognizing his/her face and a password .After authenticating the caller or instructor successfully the system obeys some predefined instructions of its instructor.

The system uses innovative techniques of Sound Detection, Speech Recognition and Image Processing to do the required tasks. For sound detection an algorithm is devised and implemented that uses the delay of arrival of sound between the three microphones that the system is having in its microphone assembly. The block diagram of the sound detecting system is given in the sheet attached.
For speech recognition MATLAB 7.0.1 has been used and the basic algorithm uses the energy of the given voice commands. The block diagram of the speech recognition system is given in the sheet attached.
For owner authentication some innovative techniques of Image Processing are being used with the help of MATLAB 7.0.1.

NOVO :

This is a project undertaken with a view to create an additional source of power from non-conventional sources of energy.

The water in regular houses falls from a water tank placed at an average height of 10 ft through pipes.
In this project we have converted the potential energy of water falling from a low head of 10 ft with a flow rate of only 1.875 lts /min into very useful electrical energy which can be used to run low wattage electrical appliances and also charge mobile phones and other chargeable devices.

UNIQUENESS:
• For a water turbine you need at least 3 feet of fall and at least 62 litres per minute of flow.but here we have only a flow rate of 1.875 lts/min and still we are producing a considerable amount of energy so as to run small electrical appliances like cell phone chargers, flashlight chargers etc.
• Regular turbines are very bulky whereas this fits into a box of 76mm x 76mm.

• This is an attachment that could be fixed anywhere in the piping system of the houses and be used to create electricity.

• The impellor used in this turbine is made up of nylon which is very easy to produce and is very cheap.

• Regular water turbines are high maintanence and costly to install devices whereas our’s is a zero maintanence and has high cost efficiency.

The main principle of this project is the conversion of potential energy of water to electric
energy.

MVGR :

This project aims at utilising the natural source of energy (sun) for producing power.

Energy can neither be created nor destroyed; it only changes from one form of energy to another. Energy is the power of work.

21st century is running; but still 30% of world population do not have electricity in their houses. In countries like Africa, position is too difficult for them to work with the help of power. So, in order to overcome these, conventional sources of energy i.e., sun, wind, water can be used for generation of power. The solar energy from the natural source, the sun, is taken from the solar concentrators and heat which was trapped sent into the oil tank. The heated oil is sent into the heat exchanger where oil passes over super cooled chemical. Here steam will be generated and generated steam is sent onto the steam turbine where power can be generated.

Aerosofty :

The project model is an embedded design delta wing r/c model. It is run by electric engine, instead of fuel. It has a monocoque structure, having templates of balsa wood and aluminum stiffeners and monocot as skin. It has different sized airfoil templates made up of balsa wood.

The main feature of the project model is it has highly lifting surface and minimal weight. This can allow to come forward with a full scale aircraft that can take much higher pay loads as compared to the existing aircrafts. In addition to this low drag and higher fuel carrying capacity can allows much higher endurance.

High body rigidity is another key factor in embedded wing aircraft, It reduces turbulence and creates less stress on the air frame which adds to efficiency allowing lighter air frame and thus proving it more economical. Furthermore higher cruising speed can be achieved for the full scale aircraft which was not possible here because of the power plant restrictions.

Mozaritz :

This project aims at building a mechanism that is able to convert the pressure being produced in shoes to an alternating current. This is a benifitial way of producing power.

The Mechanical pressure is available at the two regions in the shoes.
1 .The curvature and relaxation at the ball of the foot.
2. Heel strike displacement at the heel cup.

By replacing the piezoelectric sensors beneath our heels,we can utilize the mechanical pressureto convert into electricity.
While walking we apply more than 1000Kpa pressure on the crystals embedded in our shoes.
The applied pressure is converted into alternating current (AC) of maximum of 20 mA,3.3 V by a sing
le piezoelectric crystal.
By this way mechanical energy is harvested usefully.

Marines :

The project includes utilisation of the remnant heat present in the exhaust gases of the conventional(without supercharging) diesel engine based cars.In our model we are using this exhaust heat to convert water circulating in a closed loop system to steam ,which is used to drive a Turbine coupled with the Crankshaft.Inorder to have maximum extraction of residual heat the water is allowed to pass though the exhaust gas passage twice.

First passage creates a steam and water mixture in the line while the second one comprising of a superheater is placed very close to the exhaust valve(temperature ranges from 600-8000C) and it makes the steam superheated. This steam is then injected on the turbine blades through the nozzle where its expansion takes place which produces additional drive for the engine. It has been estimated that with this method 80% of the residual heat present in the exhaust can be extracted and it provides additional torque and power to the engine leading to an increase in almost 15% fuel efficiency.

The project basically is a small scale steam engine being incorporated in the car which utilizes the exhaust energy for steam production.

The project works on the principle of combined cycle. The energy from the exhaust gases are used to heat the water being pumped to the steam generator and then superheated. This steam is expanded on the turbine and provides output to the crankshaft.By carnot cycle efficiency =output power\input power. Since we have kept the input power constant while the output has been increased so efficiency has been increased.

The turbine gets coupled with the crankshaft when the engine attains certain requisite speed. This engagement of coupling is controlled with the incorporation of a host of sensors like temperature, flow ,pressure sensors.

Landran Warriors :

Now a Days, Crime has touched new heights. The thefts in homes, banks and other financial sectors contribute approximately 60% of crime. It is true in nature that we can't stay at home every time so there is a need for a system that can trace every activity occurring at home. So I have developed a system in order to make the security arrangements at these places more reliable. The most important feature of this security system that makes it innovative is its ability to observe and react by itself.

The advantages of this model are:

  1. User friendly.
  2. Monitoring home using MMS.
  3. Intruder detection using MMS.
  4. Fire detection by SMS.
  5. Control appliance through SMS.
  6. Economical.

When owner is not at home, and some one reaches to his home and he pressed the bell. Then at that time one interrupt would be sent to the micro controller which then sent a message to the camera to click a photo graph and send it to the owner of that system.

If the unknown person reaches to the safe or some valuable Item then the security system will again take his snap and that will again been sent to user and there will a buzzing sound start there at home.

This system can also be use to control the different appliances remotely by just a single SMS.

APACHE:
Un-manned aerial vehicle using matlab language techniques and sensors.

This project is a prototype of an unmanned aerial vehicle which is capable of surveillance and firing rockets.Using the laser guidance with the help of matlab.

This project is comprised of the technical language MAT LAB-7.0. Sensors are also used for detection.

As the name suggests will be very helpful in easy surveillances of enemy locations and quick response when detected it will fire missiles.

In the demonstration part the team showed the aircraft flying to some height and with the help of MATLAB it guided the vehicle and guided the missile fired by the vehicle with the help of laser guidance(program).

Which hit the ground target !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
