Last year project

NOVO :

This is a project undertaken with a view to create an additional source of power from non-conventional sources of energy.

The water in regular houses falls from a water tank placed at an average height of 10 ft through pipes.
In this project we have converted the potential energy of water falling from a low head of 10 ft with a flow rate of only 1.875 lts /min into very useful electrical energy which can be used to run low wattage electrical appliances and also charge mobile phones and other chargeable devices.

UNIQUENESS:
• For a water turbine you need at least 3 feet of fall and at least 62 litres per minute of flow.but here we have only a flow rate of 1.875 lts/min and still we are producing a considerable amount of energy so as to run small electrical appliances like cell phone chargers, flashlight chargers etc.
• Regular turbines are very bulky whereas this fits into a box of 76mm x 76mm.

• This is an attachment that could be fixed anywhere in the piping system of the houses and be used to create electricity.

• The impellor used in this turbine is made up of nylon which is very easy to produce and is very cheap.

• Regular water turbines are high maintanence and costly to install devices whereas our’s is a zero maintanence and has high cost efficiency.

The main principle of this project is the conversion of potential energy of water to electric
energy.
